Research Report:
Our project falls under the branch of physics. ‘Physics is a natural science that involves the study of matter. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physics
. One of the aspects we studied was kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is when the dominos are hitting each other.We are doing are project to find out how fast dominos will go if you change the spacing between them. The dominos will be timed.

The first thing we studied was kinetic energy; kinetic energy is like when you’re pulling back an arrow and you release. When you release, and its flying through the air. That’s kinetic energy. The second thing we studied was potential energy, potential energy is like pulling back an arrow and you release. When you
Pull it back, you keep it there. That’s potential energy. The third thing we studied is velocity; velocity is like speed but speed can go in any direction and velocity goes in one directionhttp://dictionary.reference.com/

The three aspects we learned were Kinetic Energy, Potential Energy, and Velocity, they all are related to at what we are experimenting on, the domino theory. The video cam will help us in or experiment, so we can have a fair test.

Problem (question):

We want to know if dominos that are closer to each other will fall down faster if they were farther apart.

Hypothesis:

We think that if the dominos are closer they will go down faster. We think this because if the dominos are closer to each other they will hit each other making them fall down faster.

Materials:

Stopwatch
Measuring tape
Dominos

Procedure:

The 1st test:
1st: Get your dominos.
2nd: Place the dominos excatly 1cm apart for the 1st try, and keep adding 1cm for each try. (Make sure that the domnios are in a staright line.)
3rd: Keep doing this until you have reached 25 domnios.
4th: Push dominos softly.
5th: Observe.
6th: Report.
